Description: Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE Last year—2023—marked the 100th anniversary of the first car to bear the name "MG" (a 1923 sales brochure announced the new "MG [in the iconic octagon] Super Sports Morris"). This pewter sculpture by Raymond Meyers, commissioned by the SCCA in the late 1970s, pays tribute to "the sports car America loved first," the car that saw the birth of road racing in the United States at Watkins Glen in 1948. The sculpture is of heavy pewter and shows exacting detail; the base measures 7" x 5." It appears to be in near-mint condition, unlike others recently offered which clearly show damaged headlights and other signs of wear. It will of course be VERY carefully packed with rigid foam (we've never had an item damaged in shipping).
