Description: A very rare copy of Tarsila, issued by Museu De Arte Moderna de Sao Paulo as #4 in its Artistas Brasileiros Contemporaneos series in 1953. Just 1,000 copies were printed. Details on this copy below: The bulk of this copy's pages are in very good condition, while two or three were noted with a light wrinkle or indentation - the exception being the 1st reproduction/plate; La Negra (see photos), which shows some distressing - pages with the other images are in near-fine condition. The book clearly endured a bit of moisture at some point, adding rippling & discoloration to the jacket, which also has a long tear at the front, edge chips & a few short tears, along with general overall smudging/wear. The cover has related damage, mostly as finish loss along the spine (see photos). Otherwise, there's some discoloration to the end papers. There is a slight old-book smell but no moldy or moisture-related scent, or we would not offer. The book is entirely unmarked, & is offered for a price that considers its condition along with rarity & historical significance -for comparison, the only other copy we could find online at the moment is going for 225.00 + shipping from Europe. Please note that insurance will be included with shipment and consider carefully - the book is offered as Final Sale. Thanks so much. {grn/n/whi}
