Click images to enlarge Description I just purchased this vintage Taylor, Smith & Taylor pitcher from a local estate here in Central Virginia. The ice lip jug was produced as part of their "Luray Pastels" line which was introduced by the Chester, West Virginia company in 1938 (the base bears the date stamp 11/40). The pitcher is well executed with crisp mold and nice definition to the handle attachments and ice lip flange. The piece is finished in their "Persian Cream" / Yellow shade which is in good condition with no flakes, surface wear or crazing (there are a few scattered production pinpoint glaze dimples). The pitcher measures 8 ¼" high, 9" from spout to handle and 6 ½" deep. The base bears the pictured "T.S.&T. LU-RAY PASTELS U.S.A." mark.
