Description: World Premiere program for the world's first and only double feature Twin Premiere of The Black Pirate and Sparrows starring Douglas Fairbanks and Mary Pickford at Grauman's Egyptian Theater on May 1, 1926. Douglas Fairbanks and Mary Pickford were married and considered the king and queen of Hollywood at the time. The event featured two distinctive Sid Grauman Preludes. The Black Pirate is considered by many as the first major film to be released in full length color featuring the two-tone Technicolor process. The program is in very good condition. Measures 8x11 inches and includes 30 interior pages. Not all pages are pictured. The program was previously purchased through Bonham's Auctions per prior owner. Note - The Douglas Fairbanks picture shows glare from the lighting. This is not a flaw to the program.
