Copy number 157 of 230, signed by Drinkwater to p.xiv of the preface. Pages have deckled edges. Upper text block edge gilt. Pages have slight foxing, tanning and minor thumbing. Foxing more noticeable towards the start and end of the book and on text block edges. Previous owner's inscription to front endpaper and pastedown. Boards have some moderate edge wear, with slight bumping to corners and minor bumping to spine ends. Boards a little rubbed and marked overall. Spine is noticeably sunned. Gilt is bright. This book has been inspected carefully by hand by trained book valuers to ensure the condition description is as accurate as possible for this exact copy pictured.
