Issued the same year as their second album, which spawned the #1 pop and R&B hits "ABC" and "The Love You Save," THIRD ALBUM displayed the Jacksons as bona fide pop sensations. The brothers continued their streak of hits with the record's lead single "I'll Be There." This poignant ballad, which showcases young Michael's earnest vocal style, offset the group's profile as sunny, bubblegum soul. The other highlights of THIRD ALBUM include "Ready or Not (Here I Come)" (later reprised by the Fugees), and the chugging "Mama's Pearl."
