Description: This is an antique sterling silver souvenir spoon with 'Norman School' and an image of the buildings on the bowl. Has a fancy pierced area on the handle. 4 1/4" long and 9.7 grams weight. The maker was D.S. Spaulding Co. - in business from 1896-1917. The Norman School was built in 1906 and was the pride of the Kansas City school district as a progressive era school. It has been turned into The Norman Lofts - residential housing.This silver spoon is pre-owned and shows tarnish. There appears to be a break and attempted repair on the back of the pierced area.
