Description: Joseph Cotten and Orson Welles in The Third Man (Selznick, 1949). Lobby Card #1 (11" X 14").In this Cold War spy classic, Joseph Cotten plays Holly Martin, a down-on-his-luck writer who travels to Vienna after his friend Harry Lime (Orson Welles) offers him a job. Upon his arrival, Martin finds out that Lime is dead, the victim of a traffic accident. All is not as it appears to be, however, as Lime is actually very much alive, drawing Martin into a web of intrigue and deceit that climaxes in a spectacular chase through the Vienna sewer system. Offered here is the rare card of Cotten and Welles from the iconic scene on the Prater Ferris Wheel. The completely unrestored lobby card has no pinholes, tears or paper loss. It has a very faint crease in the lower left corner, and There are two pieces of white paper tape on the reverse that in no way effects the front of the card. The colors have faded very slightly over time. In the lower right corner is an embossed stamp from the N.S.S. Screen Corp. (See lower left on the reverse for the stamp mark.) Please see enlarged images above. This card is so clean, and will display beautifully!
