On Christmas eve, my mother lit the many candles sparkling on the tree, on the mantle and on every table in the house. Our decorations were simple ones, evergreen boughs and holly, decorated with some glass ornaments, bows, and tinsel and angel hair. We would sing carols at home around the piano, then nap and go to midnight service. Oh, the most beautiful choirs in the world would sing in the Cathedral at midnight.. a magic hour for a child to listen to the music of love, peace and joy! You can see these colors in the photograph on the front of your leaflet and above. However, if you are one of those people who love the Victorian Reds and Greens at Christmas, then please follow the same directions, but substitute the alternate colors where you find them in parentheses. The shorter version and the Needleroll can also be stitched in either of the two colorways. The Victorian Reds and Green shorter version is shown on the back of this leaflet. We're releasing this sampler in January with the hope that this will give you lots of time to stitch this beauty before Christmas! Enjoy!
