Description: Five Live Yardbirds--Odeon-- Japan press- OP 8865 release 1970--Different textured cover art than other domestic releases. This is a live debut of the Yardbirds recorded live at the Marquee club in London in March of 1964. The songs are all covers written by American rhythm and blues artists. After the Yardbirds replaced the Rolling Stones at the Marquee Club in London, Columbia records released a recording of them in December 1964. The price in small font on the back cover is 2000 yen. The printing on the back cover is all in Japanese. This Japanese pressing features original artwork on the front cover. This is a great album, pressed on heavy vinyl, by Odeon Japan. The album does not include an OBI strip or the original booklet that was included in some pressings. We have cleaned the album using a Spin Clean MK2 record cleaner with distilled water. We have play tested both sides of the record using an Audio Technica ATLP120XUSB turntable. After cleaning and playing we rate the vinyl as VG+. The record plays great, clear and sharp. We do not just rate our vinyl under a bright light. We have placed the record in a new black paper inner sleeve for protection. We have placed the record in a new 3 mil vinyl out sleeve as well. We will ship the record securely packed in a cardboard record mailer using USPS media mail rates.
