Description: Set of three Royal Stafford 11 inch dinner plates in the Asiatic Pheasant pattern. Plates are in excellent vintage condition with almost no wear to the finish on the top of the plates. The do not look like they have been used. The Back Stamps on these plates are still being used, I believe they started using this stamp in 1992. Pictures are part of the description and will be the item shipped. Buy Happy! The pattern 'Asiatic Pheasant' has been used by at least two different company's, as seen in this listing it was used by Royal Stafford and I have seen the same in blue and white from Johnson Brothers. Royal Stafford China was started by Thomas Poole and Gladstone China Ltd in 1845 and produced Bone China and Earthenware till 1992 when it joined Barratt's of Staffordshire to become Royal Stafford. Royal Stafford is based in the Royal Overhouse Manufactory, one of the oldest pottery factories in Burslem, Stoke-on-Kent. Royal Stafford is still producing high-fired English Earthenware and Bone China today.
