Description: This $10 1929-1 banknote from The First National Bank of Toledo is certainly one-of, if not THE most common CU uncirculated banknotes to come out of Ohio. Reportedly these were purchased in the 1960's or 1970's by Dean Oaks, a long standing and reputable currency dealer directly from the bank from their vault. Needless to say, they were much, much less expensive then. But remember, ten years from today, these will be "the good ole days." Track & Price shows 677 small size notes in their census of all denominations. Of the 677 of all denominations and type, 596 are the $10 29-1 listed as CU. The sheer quantity makes it an ideal CU type note from Ohio because of the reasonable price for a CU note. Further statistics: 85 of the $10 29-1 notes are circulated from VG-8 to AU-58. Of the 596 notes, only 111 are certified CU 60 or better by the three third party grading (TPG) services, PMG, PCGS and CAA. (Please see our other listing here on eBay for more of these notes. Those are CU-63 and CU-65 Crisp uncirculated notes not TPG are occasionally offered, and generally they bring about $180 to $200. The last one like this (not TPG) brought $210 here on eBay recently. But remember, these are only represented to be uncirculated, not TPG. Of the 111 TPG notes, only 77 have been designated EPQ or equivalent designation. The note sold here is both third party graded and has the designation PPQ. According to the census (T&P) there are only 46 third party graded notes of CU-64. BTW: only 11 CU-65 and only 4 of CU-66 .. There have been about 15 CU TPG notes sold publicly within the last 24 months. They have sold as high as $995 (CU-66) to a low of $202 (CU-61) depending upon the numerical grade of CU. This note offered here is priced in line with the current market. Grades of CU-63 and CU-65 are also offered by this seller here on eBay. Depending upon the state of delivery, you may have sales tax, you may have none, or you may subject to a threshold tax. PLEASE ASK. Ebay tells me they are prepared to give refunds for states which have no tax. even though a sales tax may be implemented at the time of sale. This seller will always assist you. I have the information on the sales tax applicability for each state. So please consult me. I have been instrumental in obtaining over $10,000 in sales tax refunds for my eBay clients. My service for this is FREE to my clients. My personal issue: sales tax is a levy on tangible personal property. By definition, all money is intangible, so why should it be taxed at all? Ever! This note has no tears, pinholes nor ink stains.
