Description: I have for sale the commemorative medal for the 1984 International Powder Metallurgy conference that was held in Toronto, Canada. The medal looks to be bronze or copper, it is 1 9/16 inches in diameter and in uncirculated condition. The obverse has both a light and dark area surface as seen in the photo. The reverse has several tiny spots in the center and also has a light and dark surface. The obverse at the rim reads 1984 INTERNATIONAL POWDER METALLURGY CONFERENCE. In the center it shows an unknown object to me and in the field it reads JUNE 17-22 - TORONTO, CANADA. The reverse at the rim reads SHARING THE WORLD OF POWDER METALLURGY - MPIF-APMI. In the center it has the letters P/M84 with a dome over the letters. Powder metallurgy is a term covering a wide range of ways in which materials or components are made from metal powders.
