Description: Here is a flat (staple and matches removed) front strike matchcover from the Harbor TraveLodge motel (AAA and Duncan Hines recommended the matchcover says on the inside) on the Pacific Highway (formerly US Highway 101) in San Diego, California. This matchcover is the green type with the original Sleepy Bear. The saddle says “Motels Throughout Calif” so this matchcover dates back to when the TraveLodge chain only operated in California so is considered to be from the mid to late 1950s. There is no glue or handwriting on the inside of this matchcover but there are two old tape scars. See the eBay picture. This matchcover is in very good-to-excellent unstruck condition.
