Thanks to 99wspeedshop for the following history of the magazine: OVERVIEW Truckin magazine was published monthly by TRM Publications in Anaheim, California. The publishers, Tom and Rose McMullen, saw a growing trend in custom vans and pickups cruising around Southern California. Named after the popular saying and the R. Crumb comic, "Keep on Truckin'", the first issue went on sale in 1975 as a Summer issue. It was converted to a monthly magazine the next month. Content included feature articles, truck profiles and how-to articles. From 1975 to May 1995, Truckin was owned by either McMullen Publications or McMullen-Yee Publishing. The title was then purchased as part of a larger transaction by K-III Inc. (later Primedia Inc) for $55 million in June, 1995. Later, Source Interlink Media acquired this and 78 other titles in 2007. Publication continued until 2019 when it went to a digital-only format.
