True Vintage 1970's Car Coat Women Winter Wool Camel Hood Red Plaid Lining M

Description: True Vintage 1970's Union Made overcoat-style winter car coat with removeable collar. Original cloth Fashionbilt maker's label is present. Ladies Garment Worker Union label. Camel color wool with a dense weave. The condition is excellent with little wear. No holes, tears, stains or odors. There is a little tarnish from use on the metal closures that is not obvious unless you look for it. It might come out completely with a bit of metal polish. I found one small(1/3") moth nibble on the back which is NOT a hole, and one pinhead-size on the collar at shoulder. Also, not a hole. The lining is in perfect condition. The bottom looks wonky in the back view photo but that is just the angle of the photo, which I did not re-take. The hem is straight all over. Fully-lined with red plaid fabric. Front and pockets close with metal toggles. Patch pocket on each hip with flaps that fasten closed. Coat is quite clean, though I have NOT had it dry-cleaned. I wear a size 4 and the coat fits me like a modern medium. The mannequin in the picture wears a modern 2 and is 5'8" tall. The fit is straight, relaxed and oversized, possibly to be worn comfortably over a suit back in the day. With the buttons fastened, the chest measures about 44", lying flat. Full length is about 29", depending on how it fits you. Sleeves are about 24" long. There is a hem allowance of about 1". Please compare to coats that fit you well and ask any questions you may have.
