Trumpet OLDS Ambassador, Good Playing trumpet factory lacquer brass, 1968 NICE!

Description: Olds " AMBASSADOR " model trumpet from the late 60s in factory lacquer. This is a serious playing, very pretty Olds trumpet from 1968 or so made in Fullerton. Very nice horn, and a wonderful player. Comes with factory build card. This is a nice original Olds Ambassador with 90 % original factory lacquer intact, These are one of The best American made instruments, the early Ambassadors were lighter weight, more pro like trumpets. This example has been not been restored in the past as far as I can see, it shows some light use/wear in the brass, a scratch here and there in the the factory lacquer. Looks to be a low hours trumpet, very tight, good compression. Instrument shows very little age/use evidence, retaining the qualities that make these early Olds instruments real players and such great long lasting well built horns. There is some slight evidence of use and a few well done repairs showing if you look close, the leadpipe was removed and replaced at some point in the past, and a dent appears to have been removed from the bell below the engraving. Lacquer is missing in these areas. A little nick/small scratch here and there in the factory lacquer if you examine close, The lead pipe is clean and shiny inside. Very Nice example of a neat, fun model from that early era, really nice design, they started making these in 1947 . The original factory engraving is in GOOD shape. Horn looks better in the hand than in these photos. These horns feel solid, very pro in the hand, measuring at .460 bore, this one shows very nice, NO dents or dings, it does NOT look the the age it is. This instrument has not been restored by me, it has been cleaned, polished a bit in areas of missing lacquer, and checked for valve alignment, factory top cap felts, valve springs are new, water key corks factory. It is offered in this serviced/original condition. Case, mouthpiece, oil and slide grease included.
