UNCLE WIGGILY'S TRAVELS first appeared in 1913 and was his second book. It is a compilation of stories first published in the Newark Evening News. This volume is a 1939 reissue, with a full-color frontispiece by illustrator by Elmer Roche of Uncle Wiggily being chased by the Skillery Scallery Alligator. The premise of the collection is that Uncle Wiggily has gone traveling to find his fortune and has many adventures along the way. 188 pages; 8" by 5 3/4" by 1". Acceptable to good condition. Orange cloth boards are worn, soiled, and damp stained. Text pages are in good condition, unmarked, with some light soiling and a few small tears and creases. The spine is splitting at the title page. Full-color frontispiece is present and its colors are bright.
