Description: Up for bids is a very unique vintage Harlequin doll. I believe it's a sawdust doll, but I wouldn't dare tear the stitching open to confirm that. The cloth is quite clean, and the coloring is a bit faded but not too bad all said. The face is cloth, but a bit harder than the body, not sure how they pulled that trick off. I've been all over vintage doll sites and over tons of eBay sold and current listings, and have not run across another harlequin that looks quite like this fellow, so out there somewhere in the universe is a collector with a hole on his shelf in the exact shape as this little guy! Judging by the way the face is done, I'd put the time frame on the doll somewhere in the 1950s, but that's an estimate, I can't be certain because there is no identying marks or tags to be found. The over all size from toe to hat, finger to finger is 19" tall and 7.5" wide, and he's about 3" thick. Your doll will be carefully packed and shipped the day payment is received.
