Description: I have for sale a souvenir medal from the 1907 17th annual United Confederate Veterans reunion that was held in Richmond Virginia. The medal has three parts and it's in a high grade circulated condition. The top pin back gilded metal bar is 1 9/16 inch wide and reads SOUVENIR. In the center there is a red and white ribbon. The bottom part is in the shape of a Maltese Cross that is also gilded metal. Each point of the cross contains a word - 1907 - JUNE 8 - RICHMOND, VA - MAY 30. In the center circle it shows the Confederate flag. The flag lacks most of the red enamel from the flag, see photo. Around the flag it reads UNITED CONFEDERATE VETERANS REUNION. The medal was made by Schwaab S&S co. of Milwaukee, and it is 3 3/4 inches long. At this reunion the Confederate President Jefferson Davis monument was unveiled and possibly one hundred thousand people were at the dedication.
