Description: Unusual Antique Chinese Famille Rose Plate.Badly damaged (see Photos) but a superb example for study collection. Richly decorated with vases, with peonies and flowers in blossom at the centre supported by lucky cash coins, and an array of ripened fruit, including melon and surrounded by lucky bats,jardinnaires and various precious objects including stone chimes, a sword and two scrolls. The border is a profusion of ruyi heads and butterflies behind which a band of more fruit and flowers. The lip further butterflies ,beautiful birds, and meandering foliage.Circa 1825 to 1850.Ex private collection,Surrey ,England. Width approx 20 cms.Stock number 1562
