Early cinematic pioneer Georges Méliès created images of such visual power and joyful expressiveness that he was instantly copied, pirated, imitated and otherwise paid the ultimate complement. And here we are a century later, still paying tribute to the man's ingenious productions. This hanging wall sculpture depicts the famous scene in which adventurous earthlings launch themselves to the moon from a cannon. It's made to last, indoors or out. I make it of designer cast stone, which I've found to be perfect for depicting the surface of the moon. SIZE: 9 inches high, 8.5 inches wide, and 3 inches deep at the thickest point. I spray white and pale yellow at angles over a flat black background to create a shadow effect, then weatherproof with an invisible lacquer.
