Description: Uriah Heep Very 'Eavy ... Very 'Umble Bronze ILPS 9142 UK Pressing Visual NM & Play NM Plus Matrix / Runout (A stamped): C 85690 A-1 Matrix / Runout (B stamped): C 85690 B-1 Please note - for some reason, Island paired this UK pressing with a German glossy laminated gatefold jacket. The graphics are all the same and the printed material is all in English, as the photos demonstrate - but the cover was apparently made for the German issue (85 690 IT) of the same catalog number as shown on the labels. Play Graded: Near Mint Plus - This LP, is fully play graded from beginning to end and not just in random areas of the disc. In terms of absence of surface noise, it is very nearly in the range of the quietness of a Compact Disc, which is a key point of value with a recording with some quieter passages as is this. LP: (Graded) Near Mint, according to Goldmine record grading definitions. This record grades as an LP that appears to either have been handled or played on a small number of occasions only in the most cautious manner possible but picked up just a few very small and quite minor surface sleeve scuffs / hairlines (not scratches) somewhere along the way. What little of this exists is visible only in strong direct light. The plating surfaces are pristine with as new glossiness and the labels are in outstanding shape with no spindle trails. The record is also exceptionally clean and turntable ready. Play Graded: Near Mint Plus - This LP, in terms of absence of surface noise, is as close to the quietness of a Compact Disc as nearly any vinyl pressing ever gets. So, on the below linear graph, the in between tracks rating is 9.8 or better and during song selections, is 9.8 or better as well. The quietness of digital and the richness of analog. This is important particularly with a recording such as this that has a few interludes that are spare as to instrumentation. The sonics, in terms of clarity, dynamics, imaging, balance and definition, are magnificent. Cover: (Glossy Laminated Gatefold) Near Mint - extremely light degree of shelfwear anywhere on the cover. All solid seams and fully legible spine printing. Retains original issue innersleeve. Please note - as previously mentioned, for some reason, Island paired this UK pressing with a German gatefold jacket. The graphics are all the same and the printed material is all in English, but the cover was apparently made for the German issue of the same catalog number.
