Description: New condition US Army issue Air Warrior Body Armor in UCP camouflage pattern, with ballistic inserts. Size Medium but also adjustable with wide Velcro and elastic straps. The Air Warrior system was designed with aviation crews in mind, and included a range of pouches and specialized field gear, centered around an aicrew survival vest. Label indicates it is from the 2003 contract year, but since UCP was not actually issued until 2005 I am not sure what that suggests. Perhaps a prototype? The Air Warrior system was not in service for long, as the Army soon went to Multicam/Scorpion (OCP) camouflage following the disappointment with UCP.
