Description: This is a 1960's Vega Longneck Folklore banjo that is in fine original condition. Serial number is A-12244. I purchased this banjo 45 years ago and really haven't played it. Downsizing now and need to reduce things around the house in preparation for a move. The banjo has a 10-15/16" open back pot with an intergral tone ring. Tuning pegs are the original Elton "pancake" tuners and a Grover Perma-tension 5th string tuner. The banjo has a 3 piece maple neck which is straight and in good condition. The neck shows minimal fret wear and has a rosewood fret board. The banjo has the original Waverly tailpiece and the nickel plating is in great condition throughout. The banjo comes with an almost new hardshell Gold Tone banjo case that I paid $200+ about 20 years ago. Its like new.
