Description: The greatest album ever made. (Hyperbolic? Okay, so "European Son" never did all that much for me and I'd have left "The Black Angel Death Song" off the track list altogether, but barring that, it's a bona fide masterpiece.) To think of what we'd have lost if not for this album--undoubtedly one of the most influential in the history of rock n' roll. Would there have even been a Bauhaus, Sisters of Mercy, Violent Femmes, Jesus and Mary Chain, Joy Division, Interpol, etc., etc.--if not for this album? (Fans are well aware of Brian Eno's famous quip: "Not a lot of people bought the album, but everyone who did started a band.") So the album's a classic, we're all in agreement--so why's it so hard to find a dope cut of the shirt? The earliest ones, however many there were, are all gone, far as I can tell. Most of the ones on the market now are bunk ass reprints, $hitty quality shirts, bananas that take up the whole goddamn front, ugh. Too big, too stiff. And I know that a lot of you have been wanting an affordable version as well, and thus here we have it. I'm constantly on the lookout for these, and it's honestly hard to get in the "zone"--a nicely broken in, without being busted up, wearable, affordable cut. Great texture too, basically flawless (save for some light, character-defining stains, see pics). Too big for me to model, but this thing is dope--soft and durable with a great hang. Not a lot of people will be rocking this one at the dive bar; but everyone who is, you can bet, will be hooking up. Influentially dope!
