Description: Add a touch of history to your collection with these beautiful handtinted brown transfer print bowls, featuring miner’s scenes from 1860 America. Designed by Ed Botsford, these bowls are a renowned example of California pottery from Vernon Kilns, crafted in the distinctive San Fernando shape. Actual measurements are 6 ½” in diameter x 7 ¾” long x 2 3/8” All bowls are marked with the iconic lady holding a parasol and the inscription: "VERNON’S 1860 HAND PAINTED UNDER GLAZE BY VERNON KILNS CALIFORNIA U.S.A." Condition: Three bowls are in very good condition, with only minor utensil marks on the inner bottom. One bowl has a small missed glaze spot on the rim and a 1” line under the rim edge that winds around 3/8” over the top (both lines are smooth to the touch and the bowl remains fully functional).
