Description: Rare, remarkable early engraving of a view of the Swiss Alps:Herrenbaechli, Pris en Hyver This is etching #10; one of 29 etchings from a rare 1789 book: Collection de vues remarquables des Alpes de la Suisse(Collection of remarkable views of the Swiss Alps)by Caspar Wolf (1735-1783). I don't know the age of this actual piece; it is framed and sealed in the back. Good antique condition - there appears to be some minor stains, and a small bit of wrinkle in the bottom left corner. Vintage or antique silver-gilt frame, with some missing areas to the edges. Frame: 10.5" x 13.5"Etching: the back is sealed, but it appears to be approximately 9.25" x 11.25" Sorry, no sales outside the U.S.
