Description: I picked up 5 of these all brand new and sealed at a recent auction. I think they were intended as teaching models because there were allso human skeletal displays that were all numbered as to what was what. This bat is not numbered anywhere. Feels like plastic to me or a similar material, but definitely not real bone. I suppose it could be good for Halloween. 12 pictures posted. On the back side of the styrofoam in the box, you will find the stand and rod that screws into the bat. I never even bothered to remove that. I guess it would be a good teaching device for a biology class or just possibly a neat Halloween decoration or cool collectible for someone into bats. The tape on the box actually looks pretty old, so it may have a little age to it, but not real old. The box is light and flimsy, so I will put this original box inside a more sturdy heavier box for shipping. Please make a special note that I do not accept returns, so this isn't something for you to buy and then change your mind on.
