Description: I'm selling my Viberg boots Sz 6.5 E, Color 8/Burgundy CXL BCT 2030, Brooklyn Clothing Company edition: Contrasting Black Tongue, and BCT- Preowned. I made the kiltie to go with the boots, and added the red leather laces. They will come with the purchase. The boots come with the original box, 2 additional sets of laces (one leather set and one dress set), a boot bag for each boot, a care guide card, and a shining cloth. They come from a smoke free home, however we are pet friendly. The item has been stored away in a room that they do not enter. Consider a half size down if you have wide feet. Viberg's Service Boot is directly based on their original model, first produced in 1931. A similar pattern was also used by multiple nations as a standard issue military boot during WWII, however Viberg's quintessential Service Boot is modeled after the Canadian military's WWII Service Boot pattern. Our lineup of Chromexcel Viberg Service Boots are custom built for Brooklyn Clothing Co. by Viberg in their Victoria workshop. These are variations on Viberg's core CXL lineup, and with our chosen modifications, they have since become core models for us in the past few years. For versatility purposes, we have chosen to update their core boots with unstructured toes and toe boxes. This #8 boot also features a black tongue and brogue toe detailing, as we feel that they go perfectly with Colour #8. Chromexcel is a hot-stuffed combination tanned leather that goes through a lengthy tanning process at Horween's facility in Chicago, where it spends a month traveling from floor to floor, becoming heavily impregnated wiith grease and wax in the process. The end product is a soft, supple, and flexible hide which is packed full of oils, which gives Chromexcel the excellent pullup that it is known for - when the leather is flexed or bent, the oils are displaced and beautiful tonal highs and lows become visible. CXL only gets better with age, and taking care of the leather is as simple as it gets.
