Description: A good quality Victorian hallmarked solid silver caster / pepper pot made by Charles Stuart Harris in 1879, having plain round baluster body, with hand-pierced pull-off lid and finial, and sitting on pedestal foot. It's 61 grams in weight. It's in good condition with age related wear and tear, tiny dents on the body, and one side of the lid slightly bent (please see pictures). A nice item indeed for silver collectors. MAKER: Charles Stuart Harris MEDIUM: Hallmarked for "C.S.H", Sterling Silver, Duty Mark, London and the year 1879. YEAR: 1879 CONDITION: The caster is in good condition with age related wear and a small dent on pierced part of the lid and a couple of tiny dents on the body.
