So this kit is an empty box and a nylon pouch. Here's the scoop, the plastic tabs on these boxes are notorious for breaking off. This one has fully functional plastic tabs, one is a latch, the other is a hinge. This is one of the things that make this box worth more money. Because of this I will not accept returns on this first aid kit box and pouch. It's used, w some discoloration very slight fraying some rubbed off markings and fading, but it is 100% functional. The clips, snaps and Velcro all work. As does the lid on the box. It's functional but it's 49 years old, so it does have fragile parts to it. You break it, that's your problem. I would recommend reenactment users to put a different box or box like item in the case and leave the original rarity at home. The Velcro loop between the clips allows for attaching to a front shoulder strap, and the clips attach it to a belt. Genuine USGI Surplus
