Description: DESCRIPTION: Vintage late 1980's or early 1990's 1" Quill Mountain Bike Stem w/Brake Cable Guide, Painted Black, 120mm Extension, 25.4mm Handlebar Clamp, 120mm Vertical Shaft Length (about 60mm of Shaft is Above Max Height Line), Approx. 17d Rise, Chromoly Steel Construction. Weighs 328g. Includes stem, bolt hardware, expander and plastic top cap. I believe this came off an early 90's Specialized Rockhopper or a late 80's Nishiki Colorado (can't remember which bike). CONDITIONS: Overall, the condition is very good to excellent. Typical scratches, scuffs and very slight oxidation or fading. All bolts and bits are excellent and function properly. I would give this stem an 8 out of 10 rating. COMPATIBILITY: This stem will fit what is commonly called a "1 inch headset". This refers to the outer diameter of the bike's fork steerer tube. The actual stem shaft outer diameter is 22.2mm, which will fit directly into the inside of a fork steerer tube having an outer diameter of 25.4mm (hence, the "1 inch" designation).
