Description: This is a vintage advertising premium, probably given away with the purchase of gas, or motor oil, at a service station. It is a small ashtray, which is embossed: "BRILLIANT BRONZE GASOLENE" (Note the alternate spelling of "GASOLENE" as opposed to the more common "GASOLINE.") Johnson's Brilliant Bronze Gasoline was a short lived brand, probably sold regionally. This ashtray appears to be made of "syroco wood," which is a pressed wood pulp or "composition" material. The ashtray measures approx. 3 & 1/4 inches wide, at the base. Very nice condition with no chips, cracks or burns. Please feel free to ask any questions.
