Description: This beautiful one-of-a-kind 1930-1950's Hereke rug makes it's way from the Hacilar village in Cappadocia. It features a floral centered medallion with an ivory background surrounded by a crimson colored field. Sage borders with floral and geometric patterns surround the field. This beauty features the fringe on the sides as opposed to the traditional end fringe. This rug has an extremely dense, tightly woven wool pile that is great for high traffic areas. Natural dyes and colors include: sage, ivory, crimson, and more. This hand made rug is made of non-shedding hand spun wool making it easy to clean, and making it incredibly soft to walk and lounge on. This densely woven wool rug contains natural oils called lanolin that naturally resist dirt and grime, therefore allowing it to look cleaner for much longer than synthetic rugs. Regular vacuuming will remove any dirt and grime, and allow you to enjoy your rug for many decades.
