Description: This is a vintage coffee or tea pot made by the German company Schirnding in Bavaria. The backstamp dates it from between 1956-1974, and based on similar items I would guess this item to be from earlier in that timeframe. The design is a creamy white or ivory color, and it is trimmed in gold. There is an embossed curlicue design circling the top and around the handle, spout and bottom, and there are vertical thin lines that rise from the base. This is a large pot, measuring 11" from the table top to the tip of the pull handle. From the tip of the spout to the opposite end of the handle, it is about 10 1/2" in length. The body of the pot is about 6" in diameter at the widest point. There is no other significant mark to report on this piece - no cracks, chips, staining or crazing. There is a bit of loss to the gold gilding around the top of the handle. Please see all pictures for condition and details. Enjoy!
