Description: Frescoes of the caves of Dunhuang. The caves of Dunhuang-Mogaoku were one of the most sacred centers of Buddhism in ancient times and are now known around the world as a Treasury of ancient Chinese art. The 480 caves preserve precious remnants of paintings, sculptures and buildings from the Northern Wei dynasty (386-534) to the Yuan dynasty (1280-1368). The proposed edition is a copy of fragments of some of the numerous frescoes made on the walls of the caves.
