Description: ***********Although the movement runs strong and keeps accurate time for most of the day, at some point late in the evening or very early in the morning the movement gets caught up temporarily, resulting in an approximate 20 minute slowdown in time. When the time is reset the movement resumes keeping accurate time. Given this and considering the movement's unknown service history a complete overhaul is likely long overdue and recommended.*********** This seldom seen vintage 1960's ENGO has a glossy black dial that is in lovely but not perfect condition as it shows age-related wear and a scratch along the edge between the 1 and 2 o'clock markers. The lume on the dial and hands, which remains fully intact and emits a quick-burst glow after being exposed to bright light, has aged gracefully. The faded fat font bezel, which shows wear and smoothly rotates bidirectionally, presents nicely with the butterscotch lume pip complementing the dial and patina beautifully. The all stainless steel case, which appears to have retained its original finish, shows honest wear with minor signs of oxidation. The outer edge of the case back is stamped "WATERRESISTANT STAINLESS STEEL CASE" with "556934" stamped in the center. The crystal shows scratching. The Lorsa P75 manual wind movement is clean, keeps accurate time for most of the day and the roulette date wheel (even black, odd red) rolls over at approximately 12 am. The quickset date function works flawlessly by manually rolling over a new date and then repeatedly moving the hour hand between the 21 and 24 hour marks until the desired date has been reached. After recently winding the non-screwdown, slightly brassed crown 31 full revolutions the movement had a solid power reserve of approximately 40 hours. At some point late in the evening or very early in the morning the movement gets caught up temporarily, resulting in an approximate 20 minute slowdown in time. When the time is reset the movement resumes keeping accurate time. Given this, that the watch is more than 50 years old and considering the movement's unknown service history (there are no visible watchmaker service markings on the inside of the case back or on the movement) a complete overhaul is likely long overdue and recommended. This watch measures approximately 36 mm excluding the crown, approximately 39.5 mm including the crown and approximately 19 mm between the lugs. Case thickness, measured from the bottom of the case back to the top of the bezel, is approximately 9 mm. Including the crystal thickness measures approximately 10 mm. Given the vintage nature of this watch, that the movement has a tendency to get hung up and slowdown at some point during the day and considering its unknown service history a complete overhaul is recommended. As such there are no warranties, express or implied, attached with the sale of this watch. Vintage means old and while my personal belief is that old-school means better quality and workmanship, things can and do go wrong from time to time. Any servicing costs going forward are your responsibility. Please thoroughly read this entire listing and kindly ask any and all questions you may have prior to buying as this sale is final and no refunds of any kind will be given.
