Description: This 1963 (January) Miami, Miami Beach, Palm Beach, & West Palm Beach, Florida road map was issued by the Standard Oil of Kentucky (KYSO). The map was published by the General Drafting Map Company and came from their archives. The date code on the map is “W1162”. I bought part of this archival collection about 6 years ago and the rest this last spring. Two guys were in charge of donating the maps from the General Drafting archives to the Newberry Library when their company bought General Drafting. One pallet of maps would not fit into the two semi-trucks filled with the maps. They made several attempts to contact the library to make arrangement for shipping the maps but got no response. So they split them up and took them home. There is a variety of maps and all are stored in dated envelopes with 1 or 2 maps in each. Most are stamped and/or dated on the cover, but a few are not. Over the next few years, I will be offering many of these here on eBay. Shipping within the United States will be by First Class Postage. If you purchase multiple items, you can use the cart and request an invoice with updated shipping charges (works with some browsers only!!!). If not, I refund all excess postage paid through eBay.
