JOHN BABYLON VINYL ATCO RECORDS LP SD 33-270 G+. This gatefold album, ATCO Records (SD 33-270) is in Very Good Plus condition. I play-test every record that I list all the way through all sides and I strive to accurately report actual condition and their effects if any on playback. Vinyl is generally bright and shiny with numerous varied discernible scuffs and/or fine scratches. Both sides play all the way through without skipping. There are clicks, crackles, and a few pops here and there (especially on Side 2). Record has surface noise mostly in the dead wax and softer passages. Playback is generally tolerable providing at times an enjoyable and pleasant listening experience. Cover is in generally Very Good Plus condition with very minor shelf wear. (NM) Has no imperfections during playback. The record should have no signes of wear. The sleeve can have minor imperfections but no splits, folds or scratches.Very Good Plus (VG+)The record will show signs that it has been played and handled by a previous owner who took good care of it. Any defects of cosmetic nature does not affect playback. But the sound quality should play perfectly. Sleeves might have slight wear with small seam split or folded corners. In general the record plays perfectly but has some aesthetic wear to the sleeve or inlay.Very Good (VG)The records defects will be more pronounced. Surface noise will be evident upon playback, especially in the soft passages during intros, but will NOT overpower the music. Wear will be noticeable, such as light scratches that affect sound. Sleeves and labels will have obvious wear with tape, writing or stickers. However a (VG) record will not have all these problems at the same time.Good Plus (G+)The record is in good condition. It can be played all the way through without skipping, but it will have significant surface noise, scratches, crackling, or visible wear. The sleeve or original covers will have significant wear, seam splits, writing, or tape. (G+) will not have all of these problems at the same time
