Description: Here is my #2 salute to Bob Turner. What a legend. I miss him dearly, now 20 years after his passing. I wish I could ask him today about the seven Turners I have. My guess is that this deck is from 1975-1976. Original grip from 45 years ago. 7" x 28" approximately. This must be a true prototype, as it is mostly made of wood. Truck holes have been set and resealed. Also to note, this board is signed by the legendary Tom Fain, an early Sims Team Rider and close friends back in the day with Lonnie Toft. Tom passed away 11 years ago, so this is an historically important piece of Turner/ Sims/ Fain history.About me: I grew up skating the pools, ramps and schools all over Santa Monica in the 1970's (1972-1980). The Dogtown crew was a major influence, and I was fortunate to see all of them in action throughout my teenage years. I have sought out skateboards for my collection that had the most impact on me. The provenance and authenticity of my collection is without question.About my collection and other lots on eBay for sale: I am peeling out of some of my 30 year old collection. I spent over seven years in earnest to build this collection, but many of the boards I purchased in my 20's and 30's. I am now approaching 60. None of my decks/ boards have been seen for sale on eBay or any other site for a minimum of 25 years. All of these boards and decks have been on display or storage.
