Description: Strapless tea-length party dress or ballgown in tulle and taffeta from the late 1940s or early 1950s. Light grayish lavender netting with luxurious pleated swaths of shimmering taffeta in deep peach and coppery burgundy. Sweetheart bodice is boned to stay up properly. Skirt is full enough to wear with a crinoline (we show it without). Fully lined, with pinked seams. Closes at the side with a metal Waldes brand zipper and hooks&eyes. Labels: Will Steinman Original This company made better-quality evening dresses and ball gowns from the 1920s through the 1960s. Fiber/Care: no tags, nylon net tulle, acetate lining, synthetic or blend taffeta / dry-clean (it's likely washable, but without knowing the fiber content of the taffeta, we wouldn't risk it) Condition: our new dry-cleaner did a good job, and there are no conspicuous glitches while the dress is being worn. we suspect the few remaining exterior spots will lift with future cleanings. those that remain on the lining won't show, but are more likely permanent. see photos. price reflects minor imperfections. *We've had this ball gown professionally dry-cleaned and it's ready to wear.* Garment Measurements: bust (straight across): 32"/81.25cm bust (including boned "cups"): 36"/91.5cm top of cup to waist: 11"/28cm waist: just shy of 26"/66cm hips: free (48"/122cm+) skirt length (lining): 34"/86.25cm hem sweep: 134"/268cm ☞ Our items are not newly manufactured "vintage style" pieces. They are true vintage, at least 30 years old. Please read condition report provided above. ☜ Notes: International customers are responsible for any taxes or import fees.
