Description: Up for sale: Vintage 60's ATCO Binoculars w/ Case No. 43620 6x30 Fully Coated Optics Japan Estate sale back of closet find, a classic example of 1960's Japanese industrial design and manufacturing, comes with strap and case. Very nice vintage condition, the optics on these 60's era Japanese made binoculars are superb! All the lenses look clear and free of fog and mold, some residual dust from the years in storage can be seen.Some light scratches, scuffs and marks can be seen on all of the binoculars' exterior case surfaces, all typical of age and use.The brown case shows considerable wear with heaviers scuffs, scraches and a few areas of loss especially around the top of the case and spring loaded clasp. The interior of the case top is missing the red lining and one of the larger plastic lens caps has been lost to time. The strap is still attached to the binoculars but it's on the brittle side and should be replaced if the binoculars are to be used for anything other than display.As we place some of our items with film and television period productions (who value authentic patina, distress and age) we have left these binoculars and case in the original, as-found condition. Both the binoculars and case could use a thorough cleaning if they are to be used and displayed in the home.
