Description: Up for bid is a wonderful vintage late 80s-early 90s New York City Subway Transit Advertising Ad Panel. These were used on the trains, and are system used. They were used in the upper levels of the trains just under the ceiling on advertising strips.. it measures 28x11", the standard of the time. It does have some use wear, but in excellent condition considering it rode through the NYC subway for a while on the trains, and now 30-35 years later!!! This one, part of a TV, Print, and subway advertising campaign in the late 80s, "The Subway, We're coming back so you come back". That's why it's set up as sort of a TV screen. At the time, they were finally making headway with cleaning up the subway after two decades plus of neglect and graffiti, etc. At the time, people would have recognized the corresponding TV commercial connecting to this ad and other similar ones of various topics if major improvement in the subway. Air conditioning for example was almost a novelty back then on the trains, so people would have taken notice! Don't miss out in this rare part of NYC Transit history!!!
