He studied in Italy and debuted in 1914 at the Teatro Adriano in Rome in Donizetti’s ‘’Poliuto’’. Still in the same year he made guest appearance in Moscow. Guest performances followed in Budapest, Vienna and in Italian opera stages. In 1917 he joined to the Chicago Opera (debuted as Xalca in the premiere of the opera ‘’Azora’’ of Hadley). In 1918 he sang at the Chicago Opera in the premiere of Arthur Nevin’s ‘’A Daughter of the Forest’’. During the long years of his affiliation to the Chicago Opera he sang there parts like the Rodolfo in ‘’Bohème’’, Turiddu in ‘’Cavalleria Rusticana’’, Canio in ‘’Pagliacci’’, Radames in ‘’Aida’’, Edgardo in ‘’Lucia di Lammermoor’’, Duke in ‘’Rigoletto’’, Dimitri in ‘’Boris Godunov’’, Pedro in ‘’Tiefland’’ of E. d'Albert (1926) and Folco in Mascagni’s ‘’Isabeau’’, since 1922 he also appeared in R. Wagner’s operas like ‘’Die Walkure’’ and ‘’Tannhäuser’’. In 1921 he had at the Chicago Opera in which he remained active till 1930 one of his biggest success in ‘’I Gioielli della Madonna’’ of E.Wolf Ferrari with Rose Raisa as a partner. After 1930 he still guested at the Cincinnati Zoo Theatre; then he worked as a pedagogue in Chicago.
