Description: The state of Arizona is under a stay-at-home order which is making our shipping difficult. We are extending our shipping limit to 20 days. We hope to ship in less time, and we hope soon to be back to our old policy of ten days. We ask for and hope for your patience. William F. Drueke began making quality chess sets and other games before World War I. The felts and pieces are good to acceptable.. This is a mixed weight set, not a standard set, not a heavyweight set. The men are all heavyweight pieces, but two bishops, one White and one Black, are standard weight; and all the pawns are standard weight. Total weight of the set is about 29 ounces. Recently a standard set, without any box, sold for $150. The kings stand 3 5/8 inches tall with a base diameter of 1 1/2 inches. We lack the original box for this set, so we have added an "Fleur de Lys" cigar box for storage. Worth every penny. We combine shipping! To combine, place all your purchases in the shopping cart and press "proceed to checkout." Follow us! We found a number of antique sets! We have an ongoing sale of 18th, 19th, 20th, and 21st century chess clocks, books, and sets! Watch for our big sales!
