Description: This authentic Papago basket was purchased by my Grandmother, Eunice Gould. She resided in the Verde Valley Arizona, specifically Cottonwood & Camp Verde. Eunice worked for some of the State parks associated with American Indian Culture. I believe Mesa Verde in Colorado was her last job. I believe she either purchased the item from Mesa Verde or possibly from one of the many roadside Native American Vendors that dot the southwest. The materials used in the construction of the basket include Devils Claw, Yucca, and Beargrass. Vintage is probably 1960's or 1970's.
