Description: DESCRIPTION: When my sister and I were little girls, we loved playing dolls. Our parents were very poor and to even get a doll was such a wonderful surprise. Our Aunt Marlene would always buy us something special because she knew our parents had no money. One Christmas, she purchased us a doll watch that was made of tin metal and had a black elastic band. The other day I was reminiscing with my sister about our dolly watches. After our wonderful reminiscing, I decided to do a doll search on eBay for these watches and was amazed at how much they cost now and most of the tin ones' had some rust on them. I didn't think that would be too good for the dolls wrist, so this is what I came up with. Years ago, you could purchase these Art Deco watches for a couple of dollars and they are mostly used for re-purposing. I decided to make these watches for your antique or vintage dolls. These watches have elastic bands; each one with a different shape watch face. This particular watch #8 is one of my favorite! It has a round shape watch head with a raised glass top. (Please note: these doll watches should not be given to children. The glass will break if they hit the ground, so I wouldn't recommend gifting them to a little girl unless she is older and understands the glass top). It is not marked, but has lovely detailing around the round face. The inside of the watch has rose gold oval shape in the center. It is 10K rolled gold around the watch itself with base metal backing. The numerals are yellow gold as are the hands on the watch. The band on this watch has a delicate roses against a white satin background stretch band. I hand stitched these bands twice for secure stretching. They will stretch significantly and you don't have to worry about it coming apart. I also stitched a delicate heart to each band which dangles off to the side of the watch head. On the underside, I hand stitched a delicate pink satin rosebud, which if turned over, looks like a precious bracelet. The watch head measures approximately 7/8" wide by 1/2" across. Some of these old watches are in really good condition and display beautifully on your dolls wrist. I am listing ten (10) of these today. Each one will be different. I hope you enjoy them and I know they will look adorable on your dollies. I actually tried these on Thumbelina, Bobble Head Lucy, American Character Toodles and other dolls. They will fit a medium to large size doll. I would say 18" to 26" doll.
