Description: These 3 original photos were taken in Halle, Germany. They were acquired by me as contents of a vintage "soldier's scrapbook" which were popular of the WW2 soldiers at the time, to trade erotic photos. The object in the photos is an erotic chair custom made for Catherine The Great. The inscription on the photos suggests that they were taken after the war, as these chairs did not reside anywhere in Germany prior to 1941. Although history suggests that Catherine The Great's Palace and its contents were bombed and destroyed, these photographs and specifically their inscription may be the first piece of concrete evidence to suggest that Catherine's furniture DID survive WW2 and the bombing of Tsarskoye Selo (as many historians believe), and may even still be stored somewhere in Germany in a private collection. This is an extremely rare Ebay find. The photos you are buying are authentic and original. Please feel free to research and understand the historical importance of these photos. If you are an expert and would like to share your thoughts on these images, I would love to hear from you. Please write with any questions. Free shipping.
