Description: This vintage pair of Art Deco style planters (1930s to 1950s) depicts a young boy and girl dressed in clothes of matching colors. There are no markings on the bottoms and I could not find another pair like them during my research. Perhaps they were made by one of the early potteries such as Morton, Shawnee, American Bisque, etc. The girl planter measures approximately 5 1/4" tall and 3 3/4" across the bottom. The boy planter measures appropriately 5 1/2" tall and 3 1/4" across the bottom. Overall and considering their age, they are both in excellent vintage preowned condition and have been well cared for. There is a small chip on the back of the girl on the lower edge and some crazing from age, mostly on the girl (as shown in the photos). There are some manufacturing imperfections such as color and glaze skips, and bubbles, but these do not distract visually or functionally. I have lightly wiped the planters with a damp cloth as with all vintage pottery it is best to not submerge in water. There appears to be wax inside each planter which I did not remove.
